Wholey BEETs! I am in love with the berry beet combination. Not only are beets great for the body and the blood they taste great too. The recipe is really easy and it doesn’t take too long.
2 Tablespoons Black Chia Seeds
1/4 Cup Silk coconut milk
1/2 cup cooked apple or 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce or 1 frozen banana
1/2 cup berries (I used just strawberries for this one)
1/4 cup Dairy free milk of choice
1 handful of raw spinach
1/2 beet, peeled and roasted or raw. Your choice!
1/4 cup ice
Step 1: Mix chia seeds and coconut milk together. stir and make sure there are no clumps set aside for 15 minutes
Step 2: Make the smoothie add all ingredients together in a blender and blend until smooth.
Step 3: Place chia seeds in the bottom of your bowl, then pour smoothie on top.
Step 4: Top with your favorite toppings!
