Chocolate Tahini Overnight Oats

I have to admit that I have one crazy sweet tooth. If I could eat chocolate all day or actually anything sweet all day I would. I have run across this combination a couple of times but kind of threw my nose up at it. I mean Chocolate and Tahini *vomit emoji* I mean am I right? However I have been missing my peanut butter cups, my Nutella binges and well I needed something both chocolatey and nutty. I broke down and can I say I am hooked best Combination ever!!!!!  I promise you that you will not be sorry.

Ingredients 1 serving

Overnight Oats

1/2 cup Gluten Free Rolled oats

1/2 cup liquid of choice (I just used water for this one, but use anything you want)

1 tablespoon raw sesame seeds

1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

1 tablespoon raw hulled hemp seeds

Chocolate topping

2 tablespoons favorite chocolate chips (I like Lindt’s 70% Dark Smooth Chocolate, only use 1 square)

1/2 to 1 tablespoon water


Step 1: In a jar (empty mayo jar or mason jar) mix together the oats, sesame seeds, flaxseed, hemp seeds and water/milk and stir until no clumps.

Step 2: place top on tight (I shook it vigorously at this point but you don’t have too) and place in the fridge.

Step 3: Keep in fridge overnight any where from 8 to 10 hours depending on how crunchy you like your oats.

Step 4: In a small microwave safe bowl place chocolate chips and water, start with 1/2 tablespoon and microwave for 15 seconds.

Step 5. Remove and stir, if need place in microwave again for 15 seconds.

Step 6: Repeat step 5 until Chocolate is melted if at any point the chocolate does not look like chocolate syrup add another 1/2 tablespoon of water.

Step 7: If you decide to use a bowl or a mug like I did grab it.

Step 8: remove Oats out of the fridge and put it in the bowl or mug, or just leave it in the jar if you like. Don’t forget your tahini while you are in here too. (If you do not like tahini any nut butter will work here).

Step 9: Pour the desired amount of Tahini over your oats I only used 1 Tablespoon.

Step 10: Time for the rest of the goodness TOPPINGS! Add your chocolate syrup, sweetener of your choice (1/2 tablespoon of honey, agave or maple syrup) and fruit!
