Oils contain fat and fat does the body good, well the right kind of fats. I am not against using oils, I use olive oil in some of my recipes, I just don’t use a lot. I prefer to get my fats from seeds and well my sriracha mayo that you see in the picture. I hope you enjoy my fries as much as I do. They are crunchy on the outside yet soft on the inside and only take 20 minutes to cook.
Ingredients 1 -2 servings
2-3 potatoes of your choice (Sweet, red, yellow, blue, russet. No green. if it is green toss it.)
Step 1: Cut Potatoes as desired. I have used the Spiralizer, French fry slicer and a knife. just depends on how you would like your fries.
Step 2: Place potatoes in a bowl of ice cold water for 2 hours (you can place the bowl in the fridge)
Step 3: 2 hours later pre heat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 4: Drain and Rinse the potatoes and place on a towel and pat dry
An extra step can be added here if you would like to season your fries. place in a bowl and toss with desired seasoning.*
Step 5: Line a baking sheet with Parchment paper*
Step 6: Spread fries out on the baking sheet to where they do not touch
Step 7: Place in oven and cook for 20 minutes
*try cumin and chili powder, garlic and herbs, or cinnamon (sweet potatoes).
*I first tried these on aluminum foil and it sticks really bad.
