Not eating nuts and being allergic to almost every fruit including dates is so hard when you want to make a yummy recipe. I am however finding awesome alternatives to foods and they turn out really yummy. This one my Mini helped me with and they were a hit in the house. I want to try other ways too because I have one Mini that loves Peanut Butter and my other is a Nutella fen.
1 cup raisins (soak in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain well)
3 Tablespoon any all natural nut or seed butter
1/4 cup dairy free dark chocolate, roughly chopped
1 Tablespoon hempseeds
2/3 cup gluten free rolled oats
Step 1: Pulse raisins in a food processor or blender until they’re in small pieces.
Step 2: Add remaining ingredients to the food processor and pulse to a pliable consistency.
Step 3: These are bites so they are smaller than normal. I used a 1 teaspoon to measure out my ball sizes (seriously no matter how I worded this I laughed). The mixture was a little sticky so I kept my fingers wet to form the balls.
Step 4: Put these bad boys in the fridge or freezer for 15 minutes. Will keep fresh in an air-tight bag or container for up to a week. Freeze for longer term storage.
