Nut Free Snicker Bars

Reese, Snickers and Baby Ruth’s use to be one of my favorite candy bars. The other day my father-in-law ate a snickers and was talking to me. I then said “I have to make me some vegan, nut free, gluten free snickers. HOW?” Although they are not exactly like a Snickers it is so good and so addicting. These bad boys are heading to a party with me tonight.

Ingredients 15 snack size, 5 full size or 10 fun size

1/2 cup raisins (soaked for 10 minutes)

1/2 cup raw sesame seeds

Vegan Caramel

Raw Sunflower seeds

1 cup Chocolate of your choice

Directions

Step 1: Add raisins and sesame seeds in the food processer and pulse until they form a dough.
Step 2: Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper and form into a rectangular shape with smooth sides that is about 1/4 in thick.
20170331_111318Step 3: Put dough in the freezer to set for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Remove from freezer and transfer to a cookie sheet. Slice into desired sizes.
Step 5: Top with caramel sauce and add sunflower seeds. Put back in freezer for 15 minutes to harden.

Step 6: Once out of the freezer, place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and melt chocolate.
Step 7: Dip each bar in the chocolate using a spoon to make use that all is covered. Remove with a fork and shake off excess chocolate. Repeat for each bar.

Step 8: Place bars on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the fridge for up to 15 minutes to set. Store in the freezer or fridge to keep fresh until serving.
