Last week I made carrot cake smoothie bowls and apple pie smoothie bowls, I was seriously missing sweet potato pie right? Well being sick and my throat hurting made me really venture out to try this and it is something I will make again. I made it warm but cold would be yummy too. Here is what I did
Ingredients: 1 serving
1 medium yam/sweet potato baked
1 medium apple chopped and baked
1/2 cup dairy free milk
1-2 tablespoon maple syrup, agave or honey
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Dash of ginger
Dash of nutmeg (optional)
Step 1: Warm: peel sweet potato and place meat and other ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth.
Cold: place sweet potato and apple in fridge for 2 hours to cool, then peel sweet potato. Place all ingredients in blender and blend. Blend until smooth.
Step 2: Pour in a bowl and top with more honey, maple syrup or agave.
